Terms of use
Plain language, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
What this site is
Final Grade Plan provides free calculators that perform arithmetic on numbers you enter. You do not need an account, and nothing here costs money.
What it is not
It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any school, university, publisher, examination board or learning platform. It is not an official record of your grades, and it cannot tell you what grade you will be awarded. Only your institution can do that.
Accuracy, honestly stated
The formulas are implemented carefully and covered by tests, and they are shown on every calculator page so you can check them. But a calculation is only as good as its inputs: the weights, the grading scale, the drop rules and the rounding policy all come from your course, and if any of those is entered incorrectly the result will be confidently wrong.
So: use these tools for planning and for understanding where you stand. Do not use them as the basis for a decision you cannot reverse — dropping a course, skipping an exam, appealing a grade — without checking your syllabus and speaking to your instructor. We provide the tools as they are and cannot accept liability for decisions taken on the basis of a result.
Fair use
Use the calculators as much as you like. Please do not attempt to disrupt the service for others, and do not present the site as your own or as officially endorsed by an institution.
Content
The text, design and code of this site belong to its authors. The underlying mathematics does not — weighted averages are not anyone’s property, and the formulas are set out in full on how to calculate your final grade precisely so you can check the arithmetic yourself.
